The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks applications to fill an associated faculty position at the rank of Retiree – Faculty Emeritus. Teaches lectures and recitations in graduate classes as assigned; lead lab or discussion groups in a course setting; proctor exams; attend all lectures related to assigned course; hold office hours; tutor students; attend weekly meetings; prepare and grade classroom work; participate in ongoing professional development/ may participate in curriculum development and conduct research.

Performance Objectives

  • Teaches lectures and recitations in graduate/undergraduate classes as assigned

  • Lead lab or discussion groups in a course setting

  • Proctor exams

  • Attend all lectures related to assigned course

  • Hold office hours

  • Tutor students

  • Attend weekly meetings

  • Prepare and grad classroom work

  • Participate in ongoing professional development (may participate in curriculum development and conduct research)

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: PhD in Mathematics; Mathematics honors courses teaching experience

Desired: Extensive teaching experience in mathematics in higher education
