This is a full-time benefited position working day shifts Monday through Friday. Shift hours may vary and include 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Rotating Saturday shifts are also required.

Your job duties:

  • Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
  • Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice
  • Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
  • Collecting patient data in person and by phone
  • Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
  • Administering medications specifically directed by the physician
  • Scheduling of appointments and procedures
  • Complete and accurate message taking
  • Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
  • Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications
  • Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
 

Qualifications

 

Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

     

Preferred Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • MA experience in an outpatient setting, preferably Primary Care or Internal Medicine
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience administering vaccines
