Pay Range:
$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the coordination of all hospice referrals and comply with state and federal regulations. Serves as the internal point person and processing agent for all new hospice referrals.
- 1)Processes referrals for all programs for Hospice. Verification Specialist and Patient Account Specialists.
- 2)Responds to all inquiry calls regarding Hospice care.
- 3)Identifies risk management situations and reports to supervisor immediately.
- 4)Interprets company services to referral sources and individuals seeking information
- 5)Maintains a knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO procedures and Managed Care guidelines.
- 6)Explores reimbursement in conjunction with Insurance Verification specialist / Patient Account Specialist
