Job Purpose
The Embedded Software Engineer will support the development of the gateway, powertrain, and body controller BSW.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)
- Design, develop, debug and maintain embedded real-time software for gateway, powertrain and body controllers ECUs
- Develop code for control algorithms and communication
- Develop documentation and test plans for software
- Investigate, debug and modify existing code
- Work with cross-functional team to validate and improve the system
Required Experience
- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of work experience in the embedded systems software development
- Strong fundamentals with C programming in an embedded environment, as well as scripting ability
- Good knowledge of hardware, software embedded system concepts, and architecture
- Able to use lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, debuggers, etc.
- Working knowledge of SPI, CAN, LIN, Ethernet (UDP, TCP, SomeIP) communications
Preferred Experience
- Hands on experience with real-time embedded software development and troubleshooting on PowerPC and ARM targets
- Experience developing device drivers, control systems, and communications protocols
- Experience with AUTOSAR development round trip flow including AAT (AUTOSAR Authoring tools), BSW Configuration Tool, Model Development, and integration work
- Previous experience with design according to ISO26262 with focus on functional safety
Travel Requirements
- Business travel up to 20% annually.
