The Role

The Sr. Java Software Engineer is a key member of Plexus' development team and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure applications. Essential Functions

• Develop, test, and deploy Java applications with a focus on scalability and performance.

• Lead the transition to Java, empowering the team with deep technical expertise.
• Be available for mission-critical tasks, including occasional evenings and weekends.

• Proven Track Record – At least 8 years of hands-on Java development experience with a history of delivering measurable results.
• Technical Mastery – Expert in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs with a solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Cloud & DevOps Proficiency – Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and containerization tools like Docker & Kubernetes.
• Database Expertise – Deep knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle and how to optimize them for performance.
• CI/CD & Automation – Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies.
• Problem-Solving Excellence – Ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and drive impactful changes.
• Mentorship & Leadership – Experience in guiding and upskilling teams, ensuring they excel in Java development.
