Hybrid: Experity offers Team Members the opportunity to work remotely or in an office. While this position allows remote work, we require Team Members to live within a commutable distance from one of our locations to ensure you are available to come into the office as needed.

Compensation: Starting at $17 - $19 hourly!
Responsibilities:

Contact insurance companies regarding claim status, follow-up on denials or partial payments.

Analyze denied claims to find the root cause and take necessary actions to resolve.

Review explanations of benefits for correct adjudication and payment according to applicable managed care contract terms and reimbursement.

Fixing any posting errors by applying payments and adjustments to patient accounts as appropriate.

Submit corrected insurance claims and/or appeals, as necessary, with appropriate documentation based on payer guidelines.

Complete and follow up on appeals done with insurance payers by paper, online or phone calls.

Handling any insurance payer medical requests to ensure proper payment.

Notating patient accounts with accurate information based on information received.

Identify trends and payer issues related to billing and reimbursements and report to Supervisor with possible solutions to maximize efficiency.

Responsible for notifying management of any trends for denials from payers.

Review of unpaid claims, researching denials and/or lack of activity to ensure timely payment and maintain cash flow.

Review and resolve any payer denials/rejections to ensure timely payments.

Receive and resolve inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to patient accounts from patients, insurance carriers, employers, etc.

Work escalations from other teams.

Work Patient balances.
-
Assist CSMs and others with AR questions or concerns.

Communicate daily with internal and external customers via phone calls and written communication.

Resolve internal emails within a 72-hour turnaround time.

Maintain patient confidence by following HIPAA guidelines.

Comply with applicable laws regarding medical billing standards and maintain patient confidence by following HIPAA guidelines.
