StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:
The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Job Description
The position of Maintenance lead will perform production operations involving complex multi-slide machines. Tasks involve trimming, punching, shaping, notching, drawing, crimping metal, adjusting and fitting parts to very close tolerances, making equipment adjustments, and performing minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational Maintenance functions, emphasizing safety, quality, and equipment efficiencies.
- Responsible for elimination of waste associated with downtime and poor quality.
- Utilize Maintenance systems to identify reliability opportunities in the manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with the Production and Continuous Improvement teams to actively drive programs to completion.
- Responsible for installation of all new assets implementing maintenance programs developed for Plant equipment.
- Ensure Maintenance team acquires or develops necessary skill sets to prevent premature equipment failure.
- Promote skill development of the Maintenance team through effective leadership and strict adherence to standards.
- Conduct performance appraisals and remediations necessary to ensure continuous personal growth of Maintenance team members.
- Prepare and manage Maintenance controllable expense budget, including repair materials, outside services, utilities, and repair labor.
- Conduct audits of work performed to ensure it meets current standards and requirements.
- Develop, recommend, and implement Maintenance process improvements using the ITW Toolbox (80/20, PLS, USA)
- Review all processes and continuously identify areas for improved efficiency, productivity, and quality gains.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Identify and develop talent to maximize organizational effectiveness.
- Participate in customer and internal safety audits, including environmental audits.
- Resolve personnel issues while incorporating ITW values.
- Lead monthly safety committee meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance role within a Manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude towards continuous improvement and implementation of goals.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and confidence with employees and leaders.
- Project a positive and professional image in accordance with ITW values.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) with emphasis on Excel
Working Conditions
- Employee will be required to work in all areas of the plant; temperatures will vary.
- Prolonged standing, crawling, kneeling and walking while performing job assignments.
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
- Safety toed/ slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor.
