Configuration Developer - Asta

Overview

Support users, integration, design, implementation, and administration of the Janus/Asta Configurator.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the secondary contact for support of issues and requests submitted by end users of the Configurator.
• Troubleshoot encountered user issues.
• Monitor Queue Manager error log.
• Correct errors in orders originating in the configurator.
• Work with affected departments to resolve configurator special requests.
• Develop product configurator tools and systems, including specifying, validating, and writing rules.
• Perform a variety of administrative tasks, such as the creation and modification of accounts and salespeople.
• Create training plans and documentation as it applies to the configurator.
• Correct errors in orders originating in the configurator.
• Work with the Inventory Control team, as well as other affected departments, on SAGE item creation, router creation, inventory creation, and item maintenance.
• Meet with various departments to collaborate on pertinent projects.
• Test configurator changes prior to them being pushed to the live environment.
• Assist supervisor and co-workers as necessary.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• High school degree or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
• Two to three years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• 2+ years of configurator experience preferred.
• Advanced computer knowledge required; Microsoft Office Suite.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
• Occasional time may be spent on the shop floor learning about products by demonstration and/or limited hands-on activity.
