Intern - Year Round (Project & Events Coordinator)

About the role

Receive guidance and direction from Workplace Experience Team (WXP) and leadership. Utilize project coordination skills, administrative experience, analytical techniques and creative problem-solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day-to-day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures. May perform additional responsibilities unique to the assigned business unit such as product research and selections and assisting the design team and events team with current projects. 
 

Overview of Workplace Experience – Corporate office environment with an in-house interior design and event planning team responsible for space planning, furnishings, building recapitalization, environmental and branding graphics, and overall interior aesthetics of campus facilities.  
 

Main Responsibilities – Support Workplace Design Managers and Event Coordinators with site specific projects and initiatives; focusing on information gathering, space planning and maintaining updated information within current Facility Management system to support departments.  Also, helping with event planning team to ensure successful campus events are planned and implemented on campus.
 

Projects – Assist Workplace Design Managers and Event Coordinators with site specific interior design projects; involvement with creating PowerPoint presentations, gathering requirements, evaluating department needs to support space needs for team members.  
 

Examples of tasks- Coordination with internal support teams for projects and installations. Scheduling events and coordinating with outside vendors throughout the year. Space walkthroughs to ensure furniture changes, signage is up to date and complete. Support updates needed for space management and reservation management software programs.  Assist in event planning and workplace experience initiatives.  Take photos for reservation system and other projects as needed.  Assist with reservation system approvals, additions and cancellations.

  • Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
  • Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
  • Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
  • May provide direct member service in high volume situations
  • Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
  • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Must be pursing degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with computer aided drafting software and graphics software
  • Graphics Programs (Adobe Suite, Canva, Adobe Express)
  • PM Software (Microsoft Projects, ASANA)
