Software Engineer Sr Adv (TS/SCI with Poly Required)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Software Engineer will support complex scalable data platforms that provide business intelligence, analytics and data products to the mission. They must be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of related software development experience.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

1. Demonstrated experience with Angular 10 or higher, Java, and Typescript
2. Experience with Springboot and Tomcat
3. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
4. Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
5. Team focused, willing to develop and implement solutions in dispersed team environment.

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• Experience with UI design and usability.
• Experience with building automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
• Experience with MySQL and Elasticsearch
• Has foundational knowledge of AWS.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop complex new software products and make significant enhancements to existing software.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineers.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
