The Oncology Nursing Coordinator is a professional registered nurse who coordinates the delivery of outpatient services for Oncology and Medical patients, including but not limited to chemotherapy, growth factors, biological modifiers, blood products, antibiotics, hydration and nursing care for oncology patients throughout the cancer continuum from diagnosis through the terminal stages of the disease.
The Registered Nurse participates in the delivery of patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current state registration or eligibility to do so.
- Current BLS for health care providers
- Chemotherapy Certification by 3 months of hire.
- Oncology Certified Nurse preferred for experienced RN’s.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills.

Education:Required: Academic degree in nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree.
Required: 2 years nursing experience.
Certifications:Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
