About the role

Introduction to role

Are you ready to face exciting new challenges every day? As a Packing Senior Technician, you will plan and undertake engineering activities, ensuring the availability of equipment meets operational needs while adhering to all safety and operational standards. You will work as part of a multi-skilled team to maintain and continuously improve packaging equipment, delivering and maintaining World Class packing line performance.

Accountabilities

- Independently drive and deliver technical solutions that add value to and support the delivery of overall packaging solutions in line with business specifications and requirements.

- Carry out packing line maintenance and repairs.

- Diagnose packing line equipment faults and ensure smooth continuous running of the line.

- Support continuous improvement of packing equipment performance to meet the agreed scorecard/objectives.

- Carry out modifications in accordance with approved processes (e.g., change control, validation) and ensure delivery of required functional performance.

- Provide formal training, expertise, and coaching to less experienced staff and new starters.

- Ensure that the workshop is adequately equipped with suitable, calibrated equipment. Maintain housekeeping and working procedures in the workshop in line with current Safety Health and Environment and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Bachelors degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or High School Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience.

- Knowledge of procedures and compliance with Safety Health and Environment and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

- Good understanding of engineering principles.

- Technical experience in fixing and repair experience in production, manufacturing industry is required.

-Experience in packaging environment casepacker, denester, labeling systems.

-Overtime will be required with prior notice to support business needs.  Emergency overtime may be required with little notice to ensure operation of equipment within the Process Execution Team (PET)

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Experience working with engineering personnel from the Process Execution Team.

- Relationships with internal service providers & suppliers.

-Pharmaceutical experience

-Technical School or Trade Certification

-Apprenticeship in  formal trade (mechanical)

-Engineering/AUtomation background

-Systech/SAP experience
