Summary of Job Duties:

The Surgical Technician will assemble supplies for surgical procedures, set up and maintain the sterile field, pass surgical instruments, and assist with the in-room preparation. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for the surgical case, the surgeon, nurses, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Requires the ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School GED Plus a Graduate of an NBSTSA-accredited or an NCCT-approved Surgical Technology school/program, surgical/scrub tech training through the military, or a minimum of two years of on-the-job training (OJT) surgical/scrub experience at an acute care facility or ambulatory surgery center.

• Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write
