Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Government's point of contact in day-to-day operations. Provides technical supervision and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to the contract. Leads the Program/Project Support Contract team in providing best business practices. Responsible for overseeing all contractual responsibilities and delivery of all contract deliverables. Ensures the efficient, effective, and economical level of contract support is provided to the government; provides oversight of staff and support activities; maintains contract costs; coordinates with the COR and as required by the PMO to fill vacancies with the most qualified; manage overall contract performance to include providing subcontract management, overseeing invoicing, contract change proposals; and understands the needs and customer expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manages the day to day operations of the program and interfaces with client management daily regarding program/project issues. Respond to internal and external substantive questions and inquiries on assigned tasks, projects, and business analysis.
  • On an ongoing basis, collaborate with teaming partner in the identification and shaping of net new opportunities to continue driving growth. Identify opportunities to drive technology-led innovation in client solutions
  • Develops and supervise all aspects of the projects tasks, contract deliverables, and on-site activities, including operational planning and execution, acquisition advisement, logistics, information systems, administrative, and staffing requirements where applicable.
  • Prepares and delivers project status reports and communications to client management. Resolves project staffing and planning issues, manages company staff assigned to the project, and ensures continuity of support during Contractor personnel changes.
  • Ensures projects are completed within applicable estimated time frames and budget constraints through coordination of project approach, methods, and staffing; resolves any issues with staff, tools, and methods.
  • Reviews project deliverables and work products for high-quality, accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client requirements/standards.
  • Establishes and maintains project controls and governance in partnership with project control and financial management professionals.
  • Accountable for the management of tasks in accordance with contractual requirements and in alignment with metrics for customer satisfaction and program performance.
  • Serves as a focal point for managing customer and partner relationships. Maintain communication and interact with individuals at all levels of the client staff. Develop deep partnerships with client staff focused on constant engagement.
  • Identifies and meets with key resources, subject matter experts, and advisors from within CBP and contractor staff to establish and maintain network for information sharing.
  • Ensures effective application of staff resources through selection, training, appraisal, and ongoing leadership.
  • Encourages a participative approach to work, fostering cooperation, pride, dialogue, and trust. Creates a strong, high performing team environment. Shares or delegates power and authority with staff. Uses conflict management skills to ensure an effective workplace.
  • Continually guides staff and reinforces desired behaviors. Provides feedback and develops employees to their next level of performance.
