About the role
The CompanyMaverickX is engineering the future of chemistry for natural resource extraction. We are intensely focused on bringing economic value to our customers, shareholders, and employees – while solving pressing resource challenges facing the United States and the world.
What we doMaverick X develops advanced chemistry for unlocking lithium, battery metals, and rare earth elements and hydrocarbons from hard rock, shale, and produced water. Our molecular extraction process breaks down the mineral structures that trap valuable metals, allowing them to be released under mild conditions without the need for high-temperature roasting or harsh acids. This same core technology is also used to cleanly liberate crude oil, dissolve mineral scale, and increase the flow of hydrocarbons in existing wells.
Our approach is designed for efficiency, selectivity, and environmental responsibility. By replacing traditional high-energy, high-waste extraction methods with targeted mineral-processing chemistry, we help accelerate the transition to a secure and sustainable energy future. If you want to work at the intersection of chemistry, critical materials, and next-generation energy technology, we encourage you to apply.
The roleAs a Chemistry Lab Technician at Maverick X, you will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge mineral processing and analytical chemistry. You will support experiments that break down metal-bearing minerals, enrich produced-water brines, upgrade ore samples, and evaluate hydrocarbon release and flow-enhancement chemistries. This position is an opportunity to apply your scientific training to real-world challenges in critical-mineral recovery, oil-field chemistry, and green extraction technologies while developing a strong foundation for a career in sustainable energy materials.
