The Team: 

The Data & Research business line comprises Capital IQ Solutions and our data assets, including Visible Alpha, After Market Research, Industry and Company data, Sustainability data on Capital IQ and Pronto. This role is reporting into North America Head of Financial Institutions D&R Sales.  

Please note: this role may be scoped at a G13 or G14 depending on the final remit of the role.

Responsibilities and Impact: 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the Data & Research business line, aligning with company objectives to drive growth in the North America region. 

  • Manage a new business target ~$18m with approximately 15 direct reports. 

  • Exceed new business target through new customer acquisition and greenfield sales (add-ons, expansion opportunities, upsells). 

  • Manage new business sales for all Traditional Buy-Side clients within the North America.  

  • Lead and enable a high-performing sales team, fostering regional and global collaboration across sales, marketing, product, and other internal stakeholders. 

  • Ability to hire and to build a customer of sales excellence in the North America region. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region, regulators and industry groups across the North America. 

  • Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships (third parties, where applicable) and new market opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with product teams to innovate and influence the development of new data products and services that are applicable to the North America customer base. 

  • Oversee monthly revenue forecasting and budgeting processes to exceed new business targets.  

  • Collaborate with the North America account management team to drive overall net growth in the North America region. 
     

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) 

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $124k - $225k. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan or commission plan.

What we are looking for: 

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in business, management or a related field or equivalent experience. 

  • Extensive experience in public and private markets, financial data and research, as well as selling into Buy-Side firms. 

  • Proven track record in developing and leading sales teams and executing sales plans in the North America region. 

  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage aggres
