This Director role reports to the Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer of Emerging Markets, Open Architecture Solutions (OAS), and Global Financial Crimes. This role is part of the regional business compliance team primarily responsible for driving strategic compliance initiatives and advisory support to business leadership of Prudential’s international insurance businesses in Emerging Markets (LATAM, Africa and Asia).

The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

  • Provide Emerging Markets business leadership with compliance advisory support and partnership on strategic business initiatives, including new distribution methods, products and partnerships.
  • Lead the execution of regional compliance strategic initiatives and projects across the Emerging Markets region.
  • Advise Compliance teams across Prudential’s wholly owned businesses in Emerging Markets on best practices in operationalizing compliance requirements;
  • As necessary, engage with compliance teams in Prudential’s minority owned / non-controlled joint ventures and strategic investments (with a specific focus on Prudential’s strategic investments in Africa and joint ventures in India, Indonesia and China) to share information on Prudential’s standards, best practices and recommendations.
  • Identify and report on regional risk trends/insights and emerging risk and partner with local compliance teams and/or business leadership on strategic approach for addressing business-specific or cross-regional risk drivers.
  • Provide tools, resources, capabilities, subject matter expertise, and knowledge sharing to mature local compliance programs, upskill local compliance teams, and enable more efficient and effective delivery of global compliance services and solutions.
  • As needed, up to 50% of the time dedicated this role may provide compliance advisory & oversight support for Prudential’s OAS business and/or provide financial crimes advisory support to Prudential’s businesses globally.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of business unit compliance advisory support and oversight
  • Experience working in a global organization and working with and/or in emerging market jurisdictions
  • Experience working with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams to navigate complex compliance matters
  • Bachelor’s degree required
