As a Senior Consultant for Workforce Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and execution of our consulting projects. Your primary focus will be on growing and delivering a portfolio of consulting projects, driving sales efforts, managing teams, and ensuring the highest standards of excellence in project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of workforce development consulting projects from inception to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients with a particular focus on state workforce agencies, HHS agencies, and large employer organizations.
- Lead sales efforts, including prospecting, proposal development, and presentations to secure new consulting engagements.
- Identify new and emerging opportunities in growth industries such as clean energy, broadband infrastructure, information technology, and healthcare.
Leadership
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior consultants and project teams to foster professional growth and development.
- Delegate tasks effectively, monitor team performance, and provide feedback to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
Project Execution
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality consulting services that meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of project deliverables to ensure alignment with client objectives and best practices.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance service delivery effectiveness and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or 10 years’ experience required, graduate degree preferred
- 5-10 years’ relevant work experience.
Preferred Experience
- Strong familiarity with the public workforce system (e.g. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act)
- Strong grasp of key workforc
