Sr. NVM Research & Development Test Engineer

Role:

You'll be part of a world leading research & development organization of embedded Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) for leading edge applications in the CTO organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in test code development, test pattern simulation, technology / Intellectual Property (I.P.) debug, characterization and optimization of cost efficient production screening of next generation NVM technologies to ensure performance and reliability targets are met for the vast NVM applications in NXP products (automotive, microcontrollers, security, machine learning, IOT, secure transactions, etc.)

• Participate in I.P. definition / DFT / patent opportunities, technology development and the associated development of infrastructure and methodologies.

• Work closely in a cross functional team environment with device, design, verification, validation, reliability engineers and business line product and test engineering to efficiently develop NVM technologies.

• Support debugging / root cause of anomalies found during development or by the customer.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in EE, CS, CE or SW Engineering.

• 5 years of experience on tester / bench / measurement and debugging skills.

• Strong software skills (experience with a modern object-oriented language preferred) and modern software development process / tools. 

• Proven teamwork, communication, leadership & strong problem-solving skills to identify root cause & innovative solutions for new issues / opportunities.

• Basic knowledge of memory test techniques, micro-controller operation, or NVM would be an asset.
