Change.org is searching for a Contract Senior Recruiter to contribute to scaling our high performing, diverse team.
We’re a social impact business (a public benefit company), and the world's largest social change platform with 100m monthly users, 50,000+ campaigns launched on the site every month, and a 100% user-generated revenue model. Our users win campaigns for change once every hour.
From mobilizing over 5 million people to investigate the fires in the Amazon, to mobilizing nearly 3 million against war and famine in Yemen, to large-scale mobilizations for the people of Iran and against the war in Ukraine, and calling for Racial Justice in the US, many movements were born on Change.org. We’re looking for a Contract Senior Recruiter who is great at owning the recruiting process from kick off to offer and has a passion for expanding our platform to mobilize hundreds of millions of people to take deeper civic action. You will report to our Recruiting Manager.
Key Outcomes:
- Fill 7-10 Marketing & Communications roles within the 4 month period.
- Commit to building diverse pipelines with 60% of sourced candidates from underrepresented groups.
- Partner with hiring managers and teams to create a shared vision and strategy for each role and ensure execution and success in hiring the role.
- Utilize proactive, effective communication to create strong alignment with stakeholders.
The most important skills and capabilities for the role are:
- Area expertise in recruiting: You have deep full cycle recruiting experience, knowledge of the market, you partner with hiring managers to determine requirements and the overall role strategy, and ensure execution and success.
- Pipeline management: You creatively build the top of the funnel, manage all candidates within Greenhouse, track and leverage metrics, manage all active candidates and provide updates to your interview teams.
- Learning, ownership and proactive approach: You’re skilled at developing new and more efficient approaches. You rapidly iterate, take initiative to problem solve, have an ownership mentality and approach, anticipate challenges and proactively unblock.
- Interpersonal and intentional communication skills: You communicate proactively, effectively and respectfully and demonstrate the ability to collaborate well with others internally and externally. You give and receive multi-directional feedback.
- Organization and project management: You are highly organized, data oriented, focused and attentive to detail while multitasking, and you work quickly without sacrificing quality.
Target experience:
- 5+ years of full cycle recruiting experience
- Experience working with global teams
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Experience with Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking systems

This is a 4 month contract based in the United States. Our hourly rate for a Contract Senior Recruiter is $93.75/hour in New York; $89.10/hour in Boston and Washington DC; and $79.69 in all other US locations.
We anticipate moving quickly and our evaluation process is as follows:
- Initial call with hiring manager (30 min)
- Virtual onsite with the team (1 hour and 30 min)
