About the role

Summary
Provide leadership and direction to assigned Maintenance team members.  Manage and build a Maintenance team to support and improve runtime, reduce callouts, and improve use of available man hours across the operation team. This Maintenance Foreman position is a Delaware Basin Midstream Operations team member in Kermit, Texas.   

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance of gas compression, engines, aerial coolers, pumps, mechanical equipment of oil and gas facilities, and relevant gas processing plant experience preferred.
  • Experienced in the use of computers and a solid knowledge of Word and Excel required, SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative team environment is required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of work practices, procedures, and protection of the environment, including compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. 
  • Manage and build Maintenance team to support and accomplish Delaware Basin Midstream objectives.
  • Manage and assure that necessary spare parts are inventoried to make proper and timely repairs.
  • Maintain effective communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including supervision, engineering, operations, other maintenance employees, clerical staff, and contractors.
  • Assure team is trained and assists in training personnel.
  • Manage and assure development and upkeep of maintenance troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
  • Assist the overall Delaware Basin Midstream operations team in the daily economic optimization of operations and assist with budget preparation.
  • Ensure that accurate timely data is entered and recorded within SAP.
  • Assure that contract help is supervised as required for maintenance and operations
  • Accomplish job responsibilities in accordance with Western Midstream’s Core Values

 

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree, Trade School or Applicable Professional Certifications are preferred.

 

Certifications/Licenses
A valid US driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.

Candidates must be able to pass drug and background screenings.

 

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%. 

 

Work Schedule
This position will be on a 14/14 rotational schedule.
