Location & Work Arrangement

  • FULLY REMOTE: The Professional Services Developer Internship is fully remote and requires no travel. Your work location is the city/town/province you will be working from remotely. For our 12-week internship program, interns are allowed to work remotely from an alternative location for up to 2 weeks. Interns are also invited to work out of the CrowdStrike office located closest to their remote location.

Time Commitment: Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

Start & End Dates

  • Cohort 1: Wednesday, May 20 - Friday, August 7, 2026 (11 ½ Weeks)
  • Cohort 2: Monday, June 1 - Friday, August 21, 2026 (12 Weeks)
  • Cohort 3: Monday, June 15 - Friday, September 4, 2026 (12 Weeks)

About the Role:

As an intern on the Services TechOps team, Software Engineers build tools that are used by the consulting team in performance of its incident response and threat hunting missions. As a Software Engineer intern, you will be expected to work on major components, features and development projects for improving the security, scalability, and overall capabilities of the incident response team. You will work alongside the best and brightest engineering talent, making sure high standards are being followed when it comes to design, coding quality, and unit and component testing. What You’ll Do:

After engaging in a fun and useful onboarding process, you will be assigned to work on projects such as:

  • Participating in design and development of software with cross platform deliverables
  • Working with cutting edge technologies and languages across the entire development stack
  • Building elegant solutions for complex technical problems
  • Helping to ensure software and systems are designed and implemented to the highest security standards
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations

What You’ll Need:

  • Currently enrolled at a four university, graduating between December 2026 - June 2027
  • Development experience with Python; Javascript/Typescript; Go; or other multi-platform languages
  • Experience working with network and cloud based tools
  • Experience with version control and command line/terminal environments
  • Can think about and write high quality code and can demonstrate that capability, be it through job experience, schoolwork, or contributions to community projects.
  • Able to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile process
  • Team player – able to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a globally distributed team.
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles

Bonus Points:

  • Computer and/or network security experience/understanding
  • Contributions to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
  • OS system understanding for core concepts and subsystems (Linux, XNU, FreeBSD, etc)
  • Experience responding to security events, including front-line analysis and escalation, on hacktivist, cybercrime, and APT activity.
