What We Are Looking For:

The Sr. Director of Global Learning and Development leads Bandwidth's talent management, driving business outcomes through learning programs. Reporting directly to the VP of People Services, they will support global leaders continually assessing learning needs across Bandwidth, evolving development strategies, creating and delivering proprietary learning content and increasing the power of their delivery. The focus of this role is on team member success and ensuring that development opportunities support and align with Bandwidth’s definition of mission success. The Sr. Director is responsible for the strategy, deployment and continual improvement of the talent development cycle for Bandwidth. This leadership role includes a great deal of hands-on work and personal facilitation in addition to the strategic and creative opportunities provided within the scope of the role. Unique to this role is its direct influence in nurturing a learning community in partnership with others leaders and front-line programs that are embedded in the operations. Additionally, our digital media team is fully integrated with People Services. For a creative and forward-thinking Learning and Development leader, these are rich services for supporting the mission both in content development for curriculum and for evangelizing the mission.

What You'll Do:

  • Partners with the VP of People Services to build global learning programs that fortify the culture, increase individual capabilities and enhance productivity under our “mission-first” and “serve others” philosophy.
  • Work with senior leadership to nurture a learning community and develop solutions and implement business objectives using talent management programs. Incorporate Bandwidth’s strategic goals and objectives to design learning programs which help Bandmates crush their missions in each region.
  • Develop and establish talent assessment and management strategies, customizing the slate of offerings to Bandwidth’s philosophy on development and meaningful work.
  • Ensure company-wide adoption of talent development, management, and assessment programs under a unique “No averages”, “personal excellence”-focused programming and rewards based upon contributions and not entitlements.
  • Establish analytics and metrics to measure program performance and improve talent management strategies. Monitor effectiveness of training programs and make necessary changes to enhance overall effectiveness of programs.
  • Effectively lead, mentor and grow a global team of professional training professionals. Ensure the effective planning, coordination and completion of all training and development programs in each region.
  • Build effective and positive working relationships with all global leaders within Bandwidth to continue to foster a learning culture throughout the organization.
  • Leads the global Sales Training function overseeing vendors and internal sales training facilitators.
  • Develops and delivers our robust and vigorous global on-boarding program for new Bandmates and organizes and oversees the weekly cadence and quality of content and internal experts presenting.
  • Responsible for the selection, administration and development of all learning management systems, including the Learning Management System (currently Udemy) and the Performance Management System (currently Workday) and Articulate.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Learning/Org Development, or related field
  • 7+ years experience in a Global L&D role with a minimum of 3 years managing a Learning and Development Team.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating, influencing, and persuading.
  • Extensive experience with instructional design, program development and facilitation, organizational design, and organizational advising.
