Wondering what a day in the life of an Infusion Center RN at The Iowa Clinic West Des Moines campus might look like?
- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with the potential of a half day.
- Deliver high-quality professional nursing care to various infusion patients, including those in immunology, cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology/hematology, and other disciplines.
- Administer infusion therapies on an outpatient basis, monitor vital signs, change dressings, utilize electronic health records, and attend to patient needs efficiently and compassionately.
- Coordinate patient care and demonstrate teamwork with multiple departments and healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Provide appropriate education and support to patients and their families while respecting and protecting patient privacy.
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience in Infusion Services, including Chemotherapy Experience.
- Must possess excellent IV skills and have a strong clinical background, working collaboratively with other nurses and healthcare providers.
- Chemo Card (Required/Must obtain)
- BLS certification
- Heart Association required); ACLS certification; Certified
- Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) certification preferred.
