As a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control systems, cameras, and other site equipment; document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify credentials and authorize entry in accordance with established access procedures while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
