Job Description

Publicis Groupe is looking for an Associate Director of Client Finance to support financial operations and analysis for a portfolio of client accounts with a specific focus on media budgets and spending. Reporting to the Client Finance Director, you will serve as a key business partner and work closely with client account leads, agency finance leads, and other Publicis Groupe stakeholders.

PLEASE NOTE: The employment term expected to be a period of 4-6 months. This is a hybrid role and will require an onsite commitment of 3 days per week. While we are flexible on location for this role, preference will given to candidates local to a major metro in the Eastern or Central time zones with highest priority given to candidates commutable to our Chicago, Atlanta, or Miami offices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to client services teams.
  • Establish and maintain a successful workflow between Media, Creative, Media Finance, Accounts Payable and Client Finance.
  • Monitor client budgets, forecast revenue, interpret financial data, and report on client profitability.
  • Manage and hold media delivery teams to deadlines, providing process and structure for junior-level employees.
  • Perform financial reconciliation of multiple brands/agencies across Groupe.
  • Build trust and credibility with clients by ensuring audit compliance and prompt billing reconciliation
  • Support financial analysis and reporting including reporting monthly revenue variances to the Client Finance Director
  • Foster internal and external client relations, collaborating with Account, Project Managers, and Finance team leads
  • Identify opportunities for revenue and profit growth and areas of improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7-9 years of prior professional experience supporting financial operations, analysis, budgets, and P&L for multiple client accounts.
  • Prior experience working alongside or within media teams in an advertising agency or a large/complex matrixed environment.
  • Experience working in a client-facing capacity including delivering presentations, leading meetings, and collaborating to identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience owning P&L responsibility for multiple accounts.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including creating and manipulating pivot tables, V/H/XLookups, etc.) and experience building presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with specialized media tools (such as Prisma, DDS/Mediaocean, etc.) as well as financial and CRM tools (such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • An ability to concisely and clearly communicate and present complex ideas, concepts, data, and other information to key stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with an ability to develop and navigate relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across a multiple brands, teams, and functions.
  • An ability to provide guidance and support to multiple concurrent projects across various stages of completion.
