About the role

Staffing Coordinator - (251215-50003014) Purpose of Position: Under the general direction of the Supervisor of Staffing and Scheduling is responsible for overall coordination of staffing and scheduling the Surgical Services, Medical/ Surgical units and the Emergency Department in line with the budget and patient care requirements. Handles all aspects related to employee time records prior to payroll involvement and the paperwork for payroll adjustments in the event that paychecks are incorrect. 

Description

: 
  1. Handles all aspects related to employee time records prior to timecard processing.  (I.e. sick calls, filling open shifts, sign ups and daily schedule reconciliation.)
  2. Functions as the central communication source regarding staffing and scheduling issues.
  3. Responsible for overall coordination of department staffing and scheduling in line with budget and patient needs.
  4. Responsible for tracking and generating reports for Department Managers.         
  5. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities.       
  6. Successfully manages multiple projects and responsibilities.
  7. Perform other work related duties as assigned or requested. 
  8. Coordinates schedules for assigned staff according to needs identified by manager. 
  9. Maintains and troubleshoots for computerized scheduling system. 
  10. Codes and enters data into computer using standard procedures and established time schedule. 
  11. Provides direction to constant observer staff. 
  12. Provides training and support to end-users.
  13. Establishes own work plan and priorities using standard procedures to assure timely completion of assigned work in conformance with department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

: 
  • High School graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.  Equivalent of two (2) years of Business College preferred.  Two (2) to four (4) years supervisory experience, experience in Business Operations, Communications, knowledge of manpower planning, scheduling, methods and techniques, and familiarity with computer.
  • One to two years’ experience.
  • Intermediate computer ability. MOX, Outlook, Word, Excel, and ATSS  
 Schedule Details: 80PP (40 Hours Per Week), Mon-Fri, 7a-3p, Occasional Weekends & No Holidays
