• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
• Full Time, 40 hours/week
• Hours: Day shift

What you will need:

• Level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of high school or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year of experience in medical transcription, clinical informatics, health information technology, emergency medical services, or as a health care professional with demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology and technical spelling.
• One year of customer service work experience or interaction with the public required. Some clinical experience (PCT, MA) preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, assists physicians and clinicians in documenting details of the patient visit via the electronic medical record, and performs other related clerical duties to increase physician/clinician effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction. Effectively communicates and ensures the patient's clear understanding of the scribe role, in order to enhance the patient's experience and comfort level. Abstracts data from previous EMR to Epic for practice conversions.
