Assistant Teaching Professor and Director in the Program on Catholic Studies

The Program in Catholic Studies at Georgetown University invite applications for a non-tenure line Assistant Teaching Professor position (3-year term, possibility of renewal) to begin in August 2026.

 

The non-tenure line (NTL) faculty position would serve a three-year term teaching a 2/2 load and serving as Director of the Program, including the minor in Catholic Studies. The NTL faculty member will also share in responsibility for student advising and broader programming, including the Figge Fellows program, to create a vigorous intellectual community within Catholic Studies.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Catholic Studies or a relevant field is required prior to appointment start date. Candidates must show strong promise of excellence in teaching.

The projected salary range for this position is $64,000-$68,000. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
