Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

Shift: Days Shift length: 8 Hours
Days off: Fixed If fixed, days off: Saturday & Sunday
Hours per pay period: 48 Sign-on bonus: $10,000.00

NURSE PRACTITIONER POSITION SUMMARY:

         The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff.  The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Health and serves as a role model to other employees. 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

  • Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program
  • Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur, such as urgent care, family practice, rural health care, walk-in medical care, occupational medicine. 

Desired:

  • One-year experience providing condition of employment, pre-employment exams
  • Bilingual in Spanish desirable
  • One-year experience evaluation & treatment in workers’ compensation/injured worker episodic care setting, occupational and environmental health clinic, and /or employee health nurse in a medical or industrial facility: Occupational Health

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:

  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
  • Meets Centers for MediCal and Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
  • Current CPR recognition
  • Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff and Finance office
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner Certification (within 3 months of hire) (dept tracks

Desired:

  • Current ACLS recognition (within 18 months of hire)  
  • Current PALS recognition (within 18 months of hire)
     

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

                Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.  Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values.  Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physician Assistant (PA) provides health care services. The PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician. The PA will report to the Nurse Manager of the department for all employee/employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations. The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Health and serves as a role model to other employees. 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

  • Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agencies) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

  • Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur, such as pediatrics, family practice, rural health care, walk-in medical care, occupational medicine, anticoagulation therapy. 

Desired:

  • One-year experience providing condition of employment, pre-employment exams

  • Bilingual in Spanish desirable
