The Senior Digital Designer responsible for creating, executing, developing, and maintaining digital design elements across multiple platforms. The Senior Digital Designer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the design of intuitive, accessible, and human-centered digital experiences for our senior population and care teams. You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders to craft solutions that are not only functional but empathetic and inclusive.

Design Strategy

  • Audit and analyze digital product experiences, including competitive offerings.

  • Identify opportunities for our digital products to improve and innovate, making a strong connection to user needs, preferences, and expectations.

  • Create diagrams, models, or low-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate concepts and ideas.

  • Test concepts, hypotheses, and assumptions using Human-Centered Design methods and digital product tools, partnering with

  • the Research team where necessary.

  • Synthesize insights from customer and user research, digital product analytics, and market intelligence to inform design briefs and strategic recommendations for digital product opportunities.

Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Designers, Researchers, and subject matter experts to generate meaningful solutions for our customers.

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and team members to arrive at shared understanding and elicit shared goals and outcomes.

  • Present strategic recommendations to product teams, leadership, and Pharmacy Digital partners.

UX/UI Design Execution

  • Lead UX/UI design efforts across multiple digital products, ensuring alignment with CenterWell’s mission and user needs.

  • Translate complex healthcare workflows into simple, elegant interfaces for seniors, caregivers, and clinicians.

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and accessibility audits to inform design decisions.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and other design tools.

  • Advocate for accessibility (WCAG compliance), inclusive design, and usability best practices.

  • Contribute to and evolve CenterWell’s design system to ensure consistency and scalability.

  • Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.


Use your skills to make an impact
 

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web and mobile platforms.

  • Experience designing for healthcare, senior populations, or other accessibility-sensitive domains.

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.

  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), usability heuristics, and responsive design.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present design rationale to stakeholders.

  • Experience working in Agile or Lean environments.
    Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA), EMR/EHR systems, or clinical workflows.

  • Experience with design systems and component libraries. 

  • Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Hotjar, Google Analytics) to inform design decisions.

  • Empathy for older adults and an understanding of their digital behaviors and needs.
