Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager:
Focuses on leading and guiding a large team. This includes all aspects of a manufacturing warehouse. Goods receiving, Order fulfillment for aftermarket and production. Picking, packing and Inventory control, optimize the use of resources to meet production schedules and international warehouse standards.

Your responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and the receiving and warehouse teams.

• Optimize the policies and processes of the main warehouse activities (receive, put-away, storage, including picking and internal order fulfillment). Develop processes as needed for continuous improvement and train employees therein.
• Optimize the layout for optimal flow and space utilization and ensure safe operations by following the FLS policies and procedures.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a lean order fulfilment operation.
• Analyze WMS data daily and understand issues and remove obstacles to achieve key metrics.
• Increase the inventory accuracy and maintain a standard above 95%.
• Receiving accuracy and timeous put away of all inventoried items is crucial for safety and space optimization.
• Manage a large budget and improve costs.
• Recruit and train a high-performance cultured team.
• Understand and control the slow and obsolete items and challenge the SIOP process that determines ROP’s.
• Continuous improvement initiatives – working with the CI Manager

What you bring

• A good safety culture.
• Meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Inventory planning and control experience.
• Proven track record with a large Manufacturing and Warehouse/Distribution company.
• A good warehouse management system background, an excellent grasp of barcoding and associated hardware. D365 experience will help.
• Leadership skills and great attitude is a must. The team is diverse and clear concise communication is very important.
• Analytical problem solver that can uplift and coach fellow employees.
• A formal qualification in Logistics, Warehouse management will be preferred.
