Job Description

This role will be based in our Omaha or Chicago office.

Acquisition & Engagement is searching for a Vendor Operations Manager to join our team. In this role you will partner with our vendor-based A&E reps(Acquisition & Engagement) to educate and persuade new customers to embrace LinkedIn’s different platform capabilities. The Vendor Operations Manager will help us penetrate multiple markets through onboarding new A&E agents and/or expanding successful ongoing relationships with existing A&E vendors. 

 
Responsibilities

  • Understands the A&E Business and proactively identifies opportunities and partnerships to improve business performance. 

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity independently and driving creative problem solving, leaning on leadership as appropriate for decision making. 

  • Champions LinkedIn Culture & Values, inspiring their own team and partners. 

  • Communicate program key messages, recommendations, and performance insights internally/externally. 

  • Develops strong trusted relationships with business partners involved in program.  

  • Partners with Shared Services, Vendors and A&E leadership to ensure consistent performance by developing and enforcing business/operational structure and workflows. 

  • Support ongoing continuous vendor performance improvement initiatives and innovation experiments. 

  • Recognized as an experienced subject matter expert and the go to person for peers and business partners on all training, operations, and quality. 

  • Maintain base level knowledge of our products, including competitive and industry dynamics. 

  • Demonstrate ability to consistently use data and evidence to make timely recommendations in ambiguous situations 

  • Partner with Shared Services and/or Vendor team in partnership with leadership on statement of work expectations and support program renewal decisions. 

  • Design and maintain vendor training plan, associated resources & onboarding milestones. 

  • Deliver training to all major waves and work with Team leads/vendor trainer for future and one-off trainings. 

  • Implement sales and quality coaching standards; partner with vendor team to ensure continuous adoption. 

  • Partner with Planning and Performance partner to develop quarterly metrics. 

  • Implement and maintain standards related to lead routing and SFDC Flows. 

  • Partners with shared services and leadership to ensure consistent performance by developing and enforcing business/operational structure and workflows. 

  • Support scaling new processes and initiatives relevant for entire lines of business across FTE as needed. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement or operations management

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales 

  • Experience in Internet or tech related industries 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience vendor management experience.

  • Organizational and project/program management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.

  • Experience implementing a vendor operation from scratch. 

  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills and experience in applying project management tools. 

  • Experience creating vendor contracts, SOWs, etc. 

  • Experience in financial planning
