POSITION TITLE: Communications Technical Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
Support property initiatives and Team Member communication through all available communication tools. Develop and traffic all communication materials. This position will be responsible for the communications areas of two properties: Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the communication administrator by gathering and creating content for internal communication tools (including but not limited to Weekly Score, Pocket Docket, posters, BOH monitors, etc.)
- Write copy as needed for all communication tools
- Distribute collateral to all distribution points
- Manage the trafficking of internal communications requests
- Mount and post signage, banners, posters
- Edit and optimize digital content for digital pictures and videos
- Take photographs (digital)
- Ensure key messages are delivered via email, print media, video, and any other communication method appropriate for the specific message being delivered
- Act as contact for both properties for Internal Communications, ensuring communication activities are in place to support property initiatives, events, and business goals
- Work closely with Team Member Relations to brand and communicate Team Member events. Support all Culture & Engagement initiatives such as staffing events, responding to Team Member questions, etc.
- Maintain files and photo files
- Assist in publicizing and executing Team Member meetings, special events, and Team Member Appreciation celebrations
- Support Corporate Citizenship initiatives: H.E.R.O., Code Green, Responsible Gaming, Responsible Meetings, and Team Member Wellbeing
- Attend business meetings as necessary
- Maintain presence at both properties to ensure communication needs are being met
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/policies in an ethical manner
- Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High school diploma or GED is required
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution with a concentration in English, Journalism, or the Communications field is preferred
- One year of experience in the communications field is required
- Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
- Excellent oral communication skills and writing skills (within strict deadlines)
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Knowledge of specific design editing software for print and digital design (Photoshop, Publisher, Web Development, PDF, and InDesign)
- Photography skills
- Organizational skills
- Creativity
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
- Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, adding machines, computers, fax machines, and photocopiers
