Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Non-Tenure Track

The USF College of Nursing is seeking a full-time faculty member eligible for the rank of assistant professor on the non-tenure clinical track. The ideal candidate will hold a specialty certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care and will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses, serving on college and university committees, actively participating in professional organizations, and engaging with community partners.

Primary duties include teaching in graduate programs, serving as a liaison between the College and designated clinical facilities (which may require travel), mentoring nursing students, and contributing to college, university, community, and professional service activities commensurate with the rank of Assistant. 

In-person presence during standard business hours is required; remote work is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

Teaching: Provide didactic, online, and clinical instruction for graduate-level courses. Participate in program and curriculum review, as well as clinical site and student evaluations.

Scholarship/Service: Conduct scholarly activities, including publications and presentations, in accordance with university criteria for appointment at the assistant rank. Participate in college and university committees as appropriate. Contribute to community and professional service activities in line with university criteria for appointment at the assistant rank.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor (non-tenure earning).

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold, or be eligible for, licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and current clinical practice as a PNP in the state of Florida.

Current national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care (PNP-PC). 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with technology-supported educational methods (online or blended formats).

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners.

Experience teaching diverse learners.

Active clinical practice relevant to the specialization.

Experience teaching in an academic graduate nursing program.
