AM Bistro Server/Barista | Newark UD Courtyard

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve Starbucks® coffee beverages and bistro menu items with accuracy and speed
• Take guest orders, deliver food & beverages to tables, and ensure every guest feels welcomed
• Collect payments and process transactions accurately
• Keep the Bistro area sparkling clean and fully stocked
• Follow all food & beverage safety standards (hotel, Shaner, and Marriott requirements)
• Communicate effectively with the GM, department managers, and fellow team members
• Complete opening/closing procedures and daily operational checklists
• Jump in to help wherever needed — teamwork makes the dream work!

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality
• Meet the state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
• ServSafe and/or food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS or equivalent) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (some college a plus)
• Knowledge of local attractions is a bonus — help guests plan their day!
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
