Description
The Greenville University Accreditation Liaison Officer is responsible for accreditation submissions and maintaining currency of standing with the Higher Learning Commission and other accreditation authorities. The ALO will work with university administration and staff on all matters related to institutional accreditation.
This is a part time position of 20 hours per week, reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Student Development.
Responsibilities:
- Be the key contact person for GU in regard to accreditation matters, and advising all audiences at GU of current policies and procedures related to various accreditation agencies.
- Maintain, write and submit the institution’s official documents and reports related to the institution’s relationship with accreditors, including HLC.
- Ensure timely submission of required requests and reports to accreditation authorities.
- Work actively with other areas of the college to ensure a spirit of college-wide collaboration, collegiality, civility and teamwork.
- Oversees accreditation processes, including HLC reaccreditation.
- Function as part of the academic affairs leadership team that fosters spiritual life and excellence at GU in the context of a Christ-centered academic community.
- Serve as the Accreditation Liaison for the University and responsible for related accreditation submissions and required processes.
- Assists with searches for all academic personnel, ensure that credential requirements are satisfied, and recommend appointments, promotions, dismissals, and non-renewals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Masters degree in a relevant field, Doctorate preferred
- Demonstrated experience in:
- leading successfully in accreditation processes and matters

- Decision making and problem solving
