This role will be based in the  San Francisco Bay Area (Mountain View or San Francisco).

We are seeking an FP&A Manager to join our R&D FP&A team and support our Developer Platforms and Experience (DPX) organization. The DPX team is a newly created team within Engineering focused on creating tools and experiences that will ensure the rest of the R&D organization is as productive as possible and has the strategic capabilities that LinkedIn requires.In this exciting role, you will create the finance partnership with this new team and focus on helping the team deliver on its charter through financial analysis and success metric tracking.


Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with internal FP&A teams and cross-functional partners to lead and support strategic analyses to address the evolving business dynamics of the DPX team

  • Manage the annual planning, recurring forecasting cycles, and month-end close processes, providing valuable insights and analysis for the DPX and/or infrastructure organizations. 

  • Create, track and analyze operating metrics for the DPX team, generating insights on team performance. 

  • Audit and review of complex financial models to ensure they are both accurate and updated to reflect changing business needs, including their development, improvement, and maintenance 

  • Partner closely with leadership, cross functional leads, and key finance leaders across the company

  • Maintain a consistent meeting cadence between key leaders and cross functional business partners 

  • Hold business partners accountable to their budget, providing support and guidance to improve financial discipline and forecast accuracy. 

  • Identify and implement process improvements for reporting and other financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience  

  • 6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis within R&D, technical, or related environments

  • 2+ years of analytics experience working directly in an FP&A, Strategic Finance, Business Operations, or related environment   

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence business partners and drive strategic financial decisions in a leading technology company or high growth company. 

  • Experience with financial systems and tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, or similar. 

  • Deep understanding of accounting concepts 

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated experience to multi-task and shift priorities quickly under pressure and tight deadlines  

  • Ability to lead with strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, influence capability and social intelligence  

  • Demonstration of critical thinking, ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement or provide thoughtful alternatives

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills and competency in Word and PowerPoint 

  • Strong system skills with preference to Oracle EPM, Hyperion Essbase, or other planning systems
