The Enrichment Teacher is responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment, teaching students of all ages, from beginners to advanced levels of the subject matter. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and creative instructor with excellent communication skills. UCA recognizes our mission as integral part of the 5-fold ministry given to the church in Ephesians 4:11-13. As such, UCA employees serve as ministers to help advance the mission and vision of United Christian Academy.
Reports To: The Visual, Performing, and Worship Art Director
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must be a born-again Christian.
Must be a credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Bible.
Must be able to support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith, Statement of Conduct and Ministry of Teaching statement.
Must be a member of an evangelical, Bible-believing church.
Must possess Biblical knowledge and the ability to integrate Scripture into subject matters taught.
Must have an understanding of and commitment to UC Academy’s educational objectives and philosophy of education.
Background and experience in various dance styles and techniques preferred
Must have sufficient health and physical endurance to be able to complete assigned responsibilities.
First Aid/CPR Certification.
TB clearance with the last four years.
Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance.
Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986: An Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) will be required along with the supporting documents listed on the I-9 form.

Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes in a variety of styles for elementary through high school students.
Choreograph routines for performances, recitals, and school events, including junior high and high school musicals.
Develop lesson plans that build students’ technique, creativity, and confidence.
Foster a positive and safe classroom environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and discipline.
Provide constructive feedback to help students progress in skill and artistry.
Collaborate with school staff and directors to support productions and departmental goals.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators.
Classroom Management
Facilitates positive, productive interactions in the classroom
Teacher demonstrates genuine care and respect for students
Students exhibit cordial respect for teacher
Students are polite, respectful, and encouraging to one another
Ensures that students consistently perform at a high level
Students engage in lessons/tasks productively and enthusiastically
Students are intrinsically motivated to give their best efforts
Teacher maintains proper control of classroom
Prepares class for practice and/or game performance if applicable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting (20%), standing/walking (60%), walking (20%), lifting (5%), climbing (5%), bending (4%), squatting (6%). Must be able to lift 10-25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment includes indoor and outdoor environments and office and classroom settings. Floating desk assignment and/or shared office space may be required; moderate noise levels commensurate to a classroom environment.
