2025 Summer Intern, Treasury & Risk Management (Bachelors, Hybrid or Remote)

To support the Treasury & Risk Management Team, we are seeking a Finance Intern to work and learn within our finance department. The Intern will rotate between treasury and risk management tasks and projects, focusing on data analytics, qualitative assessments, process improvements and operating efficiencies.
Our 2025 Summer Internship is a 10-week, full-time program that generally begins in early June and concludes by early August. Work will be hybrid (preferred) from our Reston, VA headquarters (approx. 2 days per week) or fully-remote from any U.S. location (working east-coast hours). We are unable to provide housing nor relocation assistance at this time.
What you will be doing:
Rotate between treasury and risk management tasks and projects
Risk Management:
Assist with data collection from internal stakeholders for a broad range of insurance renewals
Work with the Director of Risk Management and/or broker on a variety of post insurance renewal deliverables
Assist with updating or developing content for the risk management intranet
Identify areas of opportunity where efficiencies can be made and implement improvements
Modify / create standard operating procedures for assigned tasks
Treasury:
Performing transactional research
Prepare and distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting
Evaluate opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities by leveraging technology tools
Help to prepare forecasts, and partner with various groups in the organization to identify the potential impact of business developments or finance actions
Other duties may be assigned when needed
Basic Qualifications:
Undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Analytics or equivalent major (with a graduation date of August 2025 or later)
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications and research skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, remotely, and on projects with dynamic timelines
Experience in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Detail-oriented
Eager to learn
