What You'll Do:
As a Cost Accountant, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. In this role you will provide accurate valuation of product cost and inventory, provide accurate valuation of all our fixed assets and provide governance of cost accounting and capital accounting policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Utilize knowledge of product costing and US GAAP to ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales revenue, cost of sales and inventory transactions
- Promote the proper use and understanding of the standard cost system
- Support management teams on manufacturing cost, inventory, and capital reporting
- Reconcile appropriate accounts in a timely and accurate manner
- Interface with business and operations finance, and manufacturing personnel
- Assist plant controllers on an as needed basis
- Responsible for monthly closing activities, including account balance analysis, variance analysis, and general ledger postings
- Perform ad hoc analysis as required
- Drive improvements in productivity, inventory reductions, and free cash flow
- Work safely and encourage a safe work environment
- Comply with all Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Travel up to 10% to Brecksville to support LZAM Businesses
- Travel up to 5% domestically
Skills That Make a Difference:
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong systems understanding of SAP & BOBJ
- Team orientation approach to working with others
- Self-starter with ability to take initiative
- Ability to successfully navigate in ambiguous and unstructured situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel as required
