Job Description

The Manager, Commercial Finance will support our Corporate Sales and Partnership organization and lead commercial analysis, reporting, and deal evaluation process for senior management and will be responsible for managing deal related expense.

 

A Day in the Life:

• Lead evaluation of Corporate, Govt and Small Business new contracts and contract renewals by partnering with Sales team
• Monthly closing, reporting, and forecasting of expenses related to Corporates and Partnerships and create standard reporting packages to inform leadership
• Create dashboards to monitor the health of the portfolio and identify opportunities to drive profitable growth
• Evaluate Corporate deal structure and work with Sales team to maximize profitability for the company
• Deep dive commercial expense drivers to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Collaborate cross functionally to build solutions and streamlined processes 

 

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with Sales leadership to approve renewals/new contracts
• Provide sales team with recommendations on pricing/structure
• Monthly cadence with leadership to review portfolio & commercial performance
• Update annual cost assumptions in the financial model and lead cross-functional approval process
• Ownership of commercial expenses related to Corporate and Partnership; responsible for forecasting, closing and reporting of cost
• Publish standard reporting and analytics of expense on monthly basis
• Identify potential cost saving opportunities & work with stakeholders to drive realization
• Lead process improvement opportunities on forecasting

 

What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or Commercial roles
• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Security, or like field required 
• Masters degree preferred but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
• Ability to see the big picture and leverage critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
• Ability to influence
• Flexible and adaptable; ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
