Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions develops, implements, and assesses strategic recruitment initiatives designed to achieve undergraduate enrollment goals. The Associate Director manages an assigned recruitment territory while also providing supervision, training, and performance oversight for Admissions Counselors. The position exercises a high degree of professional judgment and independent decision-making in territory management, recruitment planning, staff development, enrollment strategy execution, and relationship management with internal and external constituents. The Associate Director serves as a key representative of Barry University and contributes to divisional planning, operational effectiveness, and enrollment growth initiatives.

Essential Functions
Strategic Enrollment Planning and Territory Management
• Develop, implement, and continuously assess strategic recruitment and enrollment plans aligned with institutional enrollment goals and priorities.
• Manage assigned recruitment territories and student populations through data-informed planning, outreach, and enrollment conversion strategies.
• Analyze recruitment, application, and enrollment trends to identify opportunities for growth, market expansion, and improved yield.
• Execute strategic funnel management initiatives designed to convert inquiries to applicants, applicants to admitted students, and admitted students to enrolled students.
• Evaluate recruitment outcomes and recommend adjustments to territory strategy, communication plans, and recruitment initiatives based on measurable results.
• Utilize CRM, SIS, and enrollment management technologies to support forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making.
• Travel extensively within assigned territories to represent the university at high schools, community colleges, college fairs, conferences, presentations, and related recruitment activities.
• Maintain working knowledge of regional and national enrollment trends, market conditions, and recruitment best practices.
Leadership, Staff Supervision, and Operational Oversight
• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Admissions Counselors while ensuring alignment with departmental goals, service expectations, and enrollment objectives.
• Provide leadership in establishing recruitment priorities, territory assignments, travel schedules, and operational workflows.
• Monitor staff productivity, recruitment performance, and territory outcomes while providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, professional development, and performance management processes for assigned staff.
• Lead and support divisional initiatives related to recruitment strategy, customer service excellence, operational efficiency, and enrollment growth.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement short- and long-term recruitment strategies and enrollment initiatives.
• Ensure effective coordination of recruitment events, travel activities, and campus visit programs.
• Foster collaborative partnerships across academic and administrative departments to support recruitment and enrollment success.
Outreach, Relationship Management, and University Representation
• Serve as an official representative and spokesperson for Barry University to prospective students, families, school counselors, community partners, and external organizations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, community-based organizations, and educational partners to strengthen recruitment pipelines.
• Deliver presentations, information sessions, and enrollment workshops for diverse audiences in both virtual and in-person settings.
• Counsel prospective students and families regarding admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and enrollment processes.
• Develop and implement targeted communication strategies designed to support student engagement and enrollment conversion throughout the recruitment cycle.
• Coordinate with Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Student Services, and other university departments to ensure a seamless enrollment experience for students.
• Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and nontraditional hours in support of recruitment and enrollment activities.
Assessment, Reporting, and Data Analysis
• Prepare and analyze recruitment reports, enrollment metrics, yield analyses, and territory performance assessments.
