About the role

Role Summary: The Production Associate is responsible for completing work orders on the machines and equipment they are trained on. This individual works directly with their Manager and other key associates, ensuring that work orders are processed as planned, in a safe and impressive work environment.

Pay Range: $18 per hour ($1.25 per hour shift premium for 3rd shift)

Shift Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday 7 am - 5:30 pm (1st shift)  (with occasional overtime)

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

1. Works with various Associates on machines or at hand tables, focused on completing work orders with the goal to meet customer expectations on on-time and quality. Measured by actual run rates vs. expected and units per man hour.

  • Works in teams with Associates to ensure that products are ran as scheduled, avoiding customer back orders.
  • Utilizes quality control procedures to run products once, right, the first time, eliminating rework.
  • Continuously engaged in the pursuit of world-class production standards (90-95%).

2. Works with Production associates and others, striving to maintain inventory accuracy > 98.5%.

  • Contacts an associate capable of conducting a work order sign-off, just after a work order has started up.
  • Contacts an associate capable of conducting a work order sign-off, every time there is a lot change / date change.
  • Works with others to count raw materials at the end of each order; prints tags for materials as needed.

3. Continuously strives to maintain Facility impressiveness > 90%.

  • Keeps areas within Production where they work, neat and clean at all times, to include at end of shift clean up.
  • Completes extra cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned by their Production Supervisor.
  • Remains proactive in monitoring and completing all value added tasks that are their responsibility.

4. Work with Production Supervisor and other Associates to process and complete work orders on time, based on Production Schedule Accuracy of > 90% with <10% level 1 impacts.

  • Follows daily manpower sheet to produce quick start ups each shift.
  • Contacts an associate responsible for moving manpower at the end of each run to identify where they’re needed.
  • Utilizes quality control procedures to run products once, right, the first time, eliminating rework. 

Role Qualifications: 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to communicate effectively and problem solve efficiently.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic MS Office and general computer skills; JD Edwards / PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
