What Drives Success

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance of Lennox Residential HVAC (LRH), the Director, Controller is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial decision-making supporting our Sales & Stores functions. They will lead a team supporting our long-term strategic initiatives, while ensuring monthly forecasts and regular financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to improve finance performance.

 

More specifically, the Director, Controller will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support long-term strategic planning and annual budgeting processes.
  • Conducting regular financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to improve finance performance.
  • Leading the annual LRP process, working closely with Lennox Residential leadership team to develop detailed budgets aligned with business objectives.
  • Preparing monthly forecasts and variance analysis to assess financial performance against plan and forecast.
  • Performing standard and ad-hoc financial analyses that support external and internal financial reporting, planning and forecasting.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, implementing effective internal controls and procedures.
  • Collaborating with shared services accounting centers of excellence to drive financial efficiency initiatives and optimize resource allocation.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of Finance experience in progressive Finance roles including financial planning, forecasting and analysis.

  • Ability to leverage technology transformations.
  • Specific software skills should include – advanced Excel, Co-Pilot Anthropic (Claude Opus 4.6), SAP, Hyperion, Essbase, Power BI.
