Senior Systems Engineer, Physical Security

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems infrastructure to meet the organization's technological needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of our systems, while also providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess system needs, and develop solutions that align with business objectives

  • Perform system analysis, capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system performance and reliability

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including hardware, software, and network problems

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for system enhancements and improvements

  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for system emergencies and critical incidents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or lead role

  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices

  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies

  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and disaster recovery strategies

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus
