Transaction Banking (TxB) aims to bring innovative solutions to traditional banking and lending activities. We are a global team of lenders, investors, risk managers, skilled marketers, web experts and banking specialists. We provide a suite of solutions to help our customers meet their financial goals. We make direct investments in and manage risk for a portfolio of corporate loans and securities. We help transform distressed communities through investments and loans of private capital.

Within TxB, the Digital Engineering team is responsible for providing a unified digital experience to our clients that interact with Transaction Banking products via different interfaces such as Banking as a Service API, client portal, Files and SWIFT network. Our mission is to build a state of the art digital interface that meets our corporate client's needs. We are starting with a clean slate and one singular goal in mind: build a highly scalable, resilient, 24x7 available cloud-based platform that our corporate clients can rely to meet their cash management needs.

 

Who We Look For

As part of our global team you will work front to back as a Lead Engineer, primarily focusing on UI products.

As a project lead, you will drive the design and implementation of critical components in the Digital Engineering stack, focusing the team on code quality, automation and testability, with a focus on UI solutions whilst working closely with backend teams and technologies too. As a manager, you will develop talent of a group of passionate engineers working directly with product owners, visual designers and business clients to deliver our goal of a consumer-grade, industry beating, Digital Experience. 

You will be expected to contribute to the vision, define our product roadmap and contribute to building an engineering culture within our global team. Our flat structure requires and enables team members to evolve through the entire spectrum of the software life-cycle and closely collaborate with product owners, business and operations users. 

We are looking for someone with lots of energy that has excellent communication skills, enjoys engineering challenges, has a passion to deliver high quality technology products and is able to operate in a highly fluid, rapidly changing environment.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience using a modern UI programming language (Javascript/TypeScript)
• Experience building modern UI products using React
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver complex products with multiple stakeholders
• Experience architecting, designing full stack apps in AWS
• Prior experience with working on high availability, mission critical systems using active/active and blue-green deployment methodology
• BS. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
• Preferred Qualifications

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Node, Webpack, MobX, Redux
• Experience with Spring boot, Kafka
• Experience with Microservice architectures and REST API
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and nosql (Dynamo/Mongo DB)
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Transaction Banking, Payment domain
• Experience in Financial Services or Fintech
• Practical experience with containers is a plus
• Comfort with Agile operating models (practical experience of Scrum / Kanban)
