The Engineering & Technology Manager leads and manages complex technical projects/ program or a technical department by deploying and leading multidisciplinary teams. Duties include planning and overseeing projects, as well as managing finances and supervising multiple engineering teams. The level requires a combination of skills and knowledge including engineering expertise, personnel management, a high level of leadership skills, and financial and business acumen as well as strategic thinking to deliver commercially sound products or services.
As an Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Leading responsibility for engineering activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems, linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.
- Leading the global After Market Engineering teams in support of the After Market business objectives.
- Developing the tactical Engineering execution plans to align with the strategic After Market business growth plans.
- Supporting the After Market Plant Managers leveraging the global Engineering team’s capacity and capability
- New Product Development Consolidated Valve technical leader that develops processes, tools, and standard practices to meet customer project specifications and regional regulatory requirements.
- Providing technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Customers, Channel Partners, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing and Engineering sub-contractors.
- Developing operational and talent development plans for the After Market and NPD CN Valve Engineering teams.
- Managing the Execution of NPD CN Valve Value Analysis Value Added
- Resolving internal and external customer problems through the application of acquired expertise based upon precedents.
- Providing custom solutions to After Market and CN Valve customers, leveraging the global Engineering team and Technical Title Holders
- Conveying technical information both to clients and to colleagues in other functions
- Providing applications and technical support to the After Market sites in N. America, Singapore, M. East, Africa and European markets. Provide engineering expertise to customers, review and sign off of After Market engineering documents and reports.

- Managing the design of new valves that meet customer specification and code requirements.
- Traveling to interface with customer in order to resolve engineering issues. Also host After Market and CN Valve customers at the Valve Technical Centre in Pasadena, TX
- Applying existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products and systems for CN Valves.
- Leading role in knowledge management, stimulate sharing of knowledge. Develop training plans across the global After Market and NPD CN Valve Engineering teams.
- Managing the development of the talent pool of After Market and NPD CN Valve Engineering.
- Developing comprehensive knowledge and training transfer plans, across the Engineering teams and develops robust succession plans.
- Providing engineering leadership in support of the growth in Retro-fitting valves and spares and fast response Engineering lead times for replacement parts.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Have a Bachelor's degree or Masters in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Have a Minimum of 10 years of experience in Design Engineering Management, with a strong preference for Pressure and Safety Relief Valves experience
- Have a Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading new product development, with a preference for Pressure and Safety Relief Valves experience
- Have a Minimum of 10 years’ experience, leading an internationally located Engineering team
