Summary
Gainwell is seeking a talented and experienced network engineer who will assist in the management, maintenance, and optimization of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco switching/IOS/firewall, SD-Wan network architecture and best network practices.
Your role in our mission
Be part of a network team supporting a variety of responsibilities relating to:
• Maintain and implement network solution to ensure high availability and performance for 140+ sites and AWS.
• Plan and execute network maintenance, including firmware updates, security patches, and hardware replacements.
• Assists in evaluating, testing, and documenting current network security baselines for both hardware and software to determine network/security needs.
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or Wireshark to ensure efficiency and reliability
• Provide troubleshooting support for network outages, slowdowns, or other incidents affecting the network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other internal infrastructure teams (Windows/Linux/Cloud)
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for system emergencies and maintenance activities.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to the infrastructure.
What we're looking for
• 3+ years of experience working in an enterprise network operations environment, documenting policies, procedures and systems architecture
• Strong Cisco administration with experience in switching configurations and firewalls
• Working knowledge and experience with SD-WAN networks; implementing and maintaining VPN solutions
• Excellent network troubleshooting skills with tools such as packet tracing and Wireshark.
• Knowledge of F5 appliances and administration
What you should expect in this role
Preferred candidate will be in Northern California (Roseville, CA) with the possibility of some hybrid remote work.
Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $62,300.00 - $89,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
