JOB SUMMARY

 

The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the reliability, security, and integrity of the agency’s digital platforms. This is achieved by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies and partnering with internal teams and external vendors (such as FAST) throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The QA Analyst is responsible for identifying defects, advocating for continuous quality improvements, and ensuring the delivery of taxpayer-ready products. By driving a quality-first mindset and fostering cross-functional collaboration, this role directly contributes to the successful deployment of innovative solutions and advances agency service excellence.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for new and existing software products, including detailed functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. This also involves creating and executing automated test scripts (when applicable) to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency, ensuring software adherence to specifications, and identifying defects.

·         Proactively identify, log, and meticulously track software defects, ensuring all identified issues are resolved and verified before product release.
